Russell & Russell Consulting Marks One Year

The full-service hospitality consulting firm adds local, national clients 

DESTIN, FLA. (May 13, 2013) — Russell & Russell, the only full-service hospitality consulting firm based in Northwest Florida, marks one year anniversary by expanding its client list to include regional and national accounts.

Founded in March 2012, the Northwest Florida-based hospitality management company is owned and operated by two industry veterans, who take a tag-team approach to the company’s deep roster of services. John Russell, who has served as general manager in eight of the 19 hotels he has worked in during his three-decade career, primarily handles property management operation and financials. Scott Russell, whose hotel career has taken him around the world as a sales/training development leader largely for Ritz Carlton, focuses on building integrated sales and marketing strategies and mapping out the resources needed for full deployment.

Within its first year of operation, the formidable partner duo counted Intrawest, Howard Group, Morgan’s Hotel Group, Coral Hospitality Management and Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club among its first clients.

Today, Russell & Russell is proud to announce the following prestigious businesses have been added to the firm’s portfolio: The Pearl, a new luxury hotel in Rosemary Beach, Fla.; Homeowner’s Collection a new vacation rental agency in Seaside, Fla.; My Vacation Haven, a vacation rental/real estate company in Destin, Fla.; M-Hospitality, a restaurant group based in Jacksonville, Fla., that includes Medure’s, Matthew’s and M-Shack; and the Westin Monache Resort in Mammoth, Calif.

Though they could establish their headquarters anywhere, basing their headquarters within the Emerald Coast area is by design. Though Northwest Florida is a thriving tourist destination, there are few full-service brand hotels located here A deficiency the Russells hope to help rectify for their hometown community. “The hotel market is underserved here, and we think that’s going to change,” John Russell said in an interview with 850 Business Magazine. The article, which appeared in the April/May 2013 issue of the magazine heralded the firm as an industry leader with “five-star” level hospitality experience.

If Russell & Russell’s ever-expanding client list is any indication, the hospitality management company is already well poised to assist many of the new and developing hotels and hospitality companies in the North Florida market. “We can ensure those operations have success, and therefore those visitors have a great experience, which brings even more business to the area,” Scott Russell said.

Integral to the firm’s rapid success is a two-fold strategy: customer-centric service delivered with a laser focus on bottom line results. Since forming in March 2012, all of the firm’s clients have enjoyed double-digit revenue increases. On the firm’s satisfied client list is Matt Lindley, a consultant with the Santa Rosa Beach Golf & Beach Club, who hired the firm in part to increase its annual revenue. “We are up 45 percent, so the numbers speak for themselves,” Lindley testified.
